It’s 12:45 PM on September 10, 2017. The Browns are getting set for their season opener. 8 months and 9 days after their final 2016 game, Cleveland looks to rebound in a new year. They started their campaign with a close loss to the Steelers, in which they played surprisingly well. But what looked like a promising season quickly became a disaster.
The Browns came close to winning multiple times, suffering 3-point losses to Pittsburgh, Indianapolis, Tennessee, and the Jets, and a 6-point overtime loss against Green Bay in which they blew a 14-point 4th quarter lead. On Christmas Eve, the day that Cleveland won their only game in 2016, they lost to the Bears, 20-3. They only had one game to go: a rematch with Pittsburgh.
In a snowy game, the Browns played well. Trailing 28-24 with 1:54 left to go, the Browns faced 4th and 2 at the Steelers 27-yard line. DeShone Kizer somehow escaped the pressure and rolled left. He threw a pass toward the left sideline, which went through the hands of Corey Coleman. The Browns became the 2nd team ever to finish 0-16.
There’s always next year.
It’s one thing to accumulate talent and put a team in position
to win. It’s another thing entirely to learn how to win.
How do you get your team to the point where they EXPECT
to win, rather than just hope they win.
I like Hue Jackson, but I think it’s time to move on.
His record over two seasons is 1-31. Time for a change.

Happy New Year!
How did Hue Jackson manage to survive Black Monday? I am shocked that he is still the head coach. The Browns need some new leadership!
A sad year for a sad franchise. Who should they grab in the draft this year?
