This offseason has seen a lot of players switch teams, and some teams have been more affected by the commotion than others. Some have had a positive outcome, and others had negative results. We take a look at the teams that have been the most changed.
Cleveland Browns
Just two years after going 0-16, Cleveland is now a legitimate contender, thanks to a new lineup consisting of Baker Mayfield, Kareem Hunt, Odell Beckham Jr, and Jarvis Landry, and that’s just the offense. Add in Myles Garrett, Olivier Vernon, and Sheldon Richardson up front and a secondary with Denzel Ward and Damarious Randall, and you have a Super Bowl contender. They got a few Pro Bowlers this offseason in Beckham, Hunt, Vernon, and Richardson, and coupled with the weakening of Pittsburgh and Baltimore in their division, they are a force to be reckoned with.
New York Jets
After signing CJ Mosley to a huge deal and inking Le’Veon Bell to a surprisingly small contract, the Jets have a better future than we thought they would, when you add in Sam Darnold. The upsetting part is that right now, the Jets are better than the Giants, which is a sign of the apocalypse.
Pittsburgh Steelers
This offseason has been a mix of good and bad. They finally got rid of a lot of the drama surrounding them, but they had to get rid of their two best players in the process. They managed to pick up a few decent players in Mark Barron, Steven Nelson, and Donte Moncrief, but they had to spend a good deal of money to get them. Meanwhile, they now have to say goodbye to Morgan Burnett. The team that has been compared to the Kardashians is starting to calm down, but they are no longer a championship contender.
