In week 10, 3 games went down to the final minute. The Saints ran for 6 touchdowns. And the Bucs played the Jets in a goof off. We take a look at the good, the bad, and the ugly in week 10.
The Good
3 games went down to the wire. At Lucas Oil Stadium, the Steelers trailed by 14 in the third quarter, but came back to win on a 33-yard field goal by Chris Boswell. Meanwhile, division rival Cincinnati lost when DeMarco Murray stuck the ball across the line with 35 seconds left. Finally, Jacksonville beat the Chargers in OT.
Adam Thielen had a great game against Washington, with 166 yards and 1 TD. He celebrated a touchdown with a game of leapfrog:
The Saints rushing attack pounded the Bills into submission with 298 yards and 6 touchdowns in a 47-10 win. The Saints are giving me good reason to stick with my Super Bowl 52 prediction. And the Steelers…
The Bad
…had a game to forget. Everything was terrible except for the fact that they won. The pass defense allowed two 60-yard touchdown passes in which a receiver was wide open inside the 25. However, we’ve seen them at their best in the Chiefs game. I stand by my prediction.
The Bills run defense needs to improve. Period.
The Packers finally found a way to win without Aaron Rodgers. On the flip side, the Bears need to be a little more consistent. You can’t beat the Steelers and lose to the Packers.
The Ugly
After a 31-21 loss to the formerly winless 49ers, the Giants have been reduced to a whole new level of patheticness(if that’s not a word, then it should be, because it was the only thing I could say to describe how truly depressing the Giants are).
When you have uniforms like Tampa Bay does, every game is ugly. But this game, the Jets and Buccaneers threw interceptions on back-to-back plays. Both teams have awful QBs, and we’re lucky the game wasn’t a scoreless tie.
The Seahawks’ color rush uniforms are the definition of ugly.
So true – the Giants are the embodiment of ineptitude (that one is definitely a word)!
I think you’re a bit hard on the Steelers, I’ve got high hope for them in Week 15.
The Giants are VERY ugly! The Steelers should make it far because they don’t have much competition in the AFC. The NFC is looking like a stronger conference this year. The Saints, LA Rams, Vikings, and Eagles are all looking very good. I’m still not sure about KC yet but agree they have very strong offensive players with Smith, Hunt, and Hill.
The great thing about sports- there is always next year.
Another good write-up but I am so so disgusted with football. I can’t wait for the new baseball season. Maybe I can play checkers in the meantime?
